Jim Phalan is an entrepreneur and operator with over two decades of experience building businesses that foster connection through exceptional hospitality and innovative operations. He founded The Fox Restaurant & Brewery, with thriving locations in Carson City and Midtown Reno, Nevada, where he prioritizes quality cuisine and vibrant guest experiences. His portfolio also includes Bendita Carmelita Craft Brewery in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, launched in 2022, which blends local heritage with craft brewing innovation.

Jim’s entrepreneurial journey began with ResortWiFi, a pioneering wireless solutions provider for timeshares, which he scaled and sold to Wayport Inc. in 2007. Transitioning to hospitality, he established Firkin & Fox Pub in 2008, creating a community cornerstone in Carson City. In 2013, his Buzzed Bee Honey Ale at High Sierra Brewing Co. earned Gold at the Great American Beer Festival, showcasing his commitment to excellence. After selling his stake in 2016, he expanded The Fox brand, acquiring commercial property in Reno in 2023 to open a second location, where meticulously crafted dishes fuel strong revenue and guest satisfaction.
